ADIPEC opens with low-carbon hydrogen as headline theme
The annual energy industry gathering in Abu Dhabi pivots from oil-and-gas defense to a broader hydrogen and grid-flexibility agenda.

ADIPEC opened in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday under a noticeably different framing from prior years, with low-carbon hydrogen, grid flexibility and carbon-capture finance dominating the opening keynote programme.
The conference is one of the world's largest energy gatherings, and shifts in its agenda are watched closely as a signal of where Gulf majors and sovereign wealth investors will deploy capital next. ADNOC, Saudi Aramco and QatarEnergy all sent senior executives, and most opening keynotes referenced hydrogen offtake agreements signed in the past 12 months.
On the sidelines, several smaller exhibitors said they were seeing more cautious interest from European utilities, which face slower-than-expected hydrogen demand at home.
