Etihad and Boeing finalise widebody order for Gulf-Asia routes
Abu Dhabi flag carrier confirms 30-aircraft widebody order including next-generation freighters.

Etihad Airways and Boeing on Tuesday confirmed a 30-aircraft widebody order, including a mix of passenger 787 Dreamliner and 777-8 Freighter variants, with deliveries staggered through 2032.
The Abu Dhabi airline said the order anchors its medium-term capacity plan for Gulf–Asia routes and gives it freighter capacity that will, for the first time, allow it to compete directly with regional cargo specialists. The airline's chief executive said the freighter component reflects sustained demand from Asian e-commerce platforms.
Boeing said the order will be reflected in its second-quarter commercial backlog disclosure.
